Have you been traveling or just riding through a town or city and noticed a sign in a store window that read "We Have Lost Our Lease." The next statement is "Everything Must Go." Most of the time the last statement that is printed usually reads something like this - "50 to 75 Percent Off The Marked Price."
What is a lease? A lease is a given contract or a right to the use of a particular piece of property for a limited time. The contract has certain specifications written in it indicating what one can and cannot do.
What does it mean to have a lease cancelled? To have a lease cancelled means being denied the use of or the loss of accommodations. Sometimes the tenant will try to renegotiate the contract with the landlord, to no avail. The landlord has reached a decision and it is final. The lease will not be renewed. Therefore, the tenant has to move.
We are God's property and our allotted time here on earth is about to expire (run out). Each day brings us closer to the termination of our lease. We try through many resources to prolong our (stay) lease. My friends, I come to tell YOU that your lease has already been cancelled! Job declared that "Man Born of a Woman is of a Few Days, and Full of Trouble. He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not." (Job 14:1-2 KJV)
Let me digress for a minute and explain the word MAN. From the Hebrew perspective it does not necessarily denote maleness but human kind. When you look up the word man in the Hebrew reference it call man "Adam," which means "from the earth" and "ruddy" and it refers to people.
My friends you have got to move. Your lease is about to expire. Where are you going to move? Think about it right now. "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement." (Hebrews 9:27 KJV) You have got to move. When the Lord gets ready, YOU have got to move, Yes! You may be high or low, you may be rich or poor, you may be black or white, you may be red, yellow or brown. It does not matter. When God dispatches the pale horse and his rider and tells them to go get you, you are booked out of here. However, the question to be asked is where are YOU going? If you don't know God in the pardon of your sin, you are in trouble. If you have not prepared for your exit out of this life, you need to do as Acts 3:19 KJV "Repent and be converted that your sins may be blotted out..."
DON'T DELAY, DON'T PROCRASTINATE, GIVE YOURSELF TO JESUS TODAY!!!
