18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go Ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world, Amen. St. Matthew 28:18-20 KJV
The church has a grave obligation to the Community and to the world at large. Believe it or not, the church is still held in the highest of esteem among the institutions of the world. When people reach a certain peak in life and the crisis become unbearable they look to the church for that particular kind of help that is needed to solve their inner frustration and problems.
How many times have you been down with life's situations, and you turn to the church for relief and Spiritual elation. If so, this proves the point that the church is still held in the highest of esteem. I talked to a young man one Sunday at the church and he said to me "I was touched by the message, I must be getting older." Yes, when the settling down process begins, a number of people start to think about the church.
It is the responsibility of the church to seek out the spiritually lost, despondent, discouraged, and those that don't have any hope.
